Supporting the most vulnerable families in Dar es Salaam during Covid-19 pandemic

The project targeted 30 single mothers in Dar es Salaam who had lost their income as the result of stay home plea during the Covid-19 pandemic. The project is for three months, from May to July 2020. The project used small Christian communities and other means to locate and register the most vulnerable single mothers who have lost their income due to Covid-19 pandemic; buy food provisions (25 kgs of rice, 25 kgs of flour, 20 kgs of beans, 5 litres of oil), gas cookers and PPE (masks and sanitizers) from online vendors and deliver to 30 registered affected single mothers; offering right Covid-19 information and psychological help to the 30 registered affected single mothers and any one affected or infected by Covid-19. The project also refills the gas for the families for the other two months, apart from continuing with the food provisions. The supporting the most vulnerable families in Dar es Salaam during Covid-19 pandemic project is financed by the Camillian Disaster Service (CADIS) International in Rome.
